One sunny “weekday” in October after the mucho-caliente summer…that naked Twin-cam on the Ford- Model-A body suddenly showed up without any warnings!!
LAの熱い夏も終わったある秋の平日、眩いばかりの車達の中に、丸裸のツインカムに目が奪われた！！黒の結晶塗装のツインカムと言えば、、、、やはり2TGであった。

Black wrinkle painted Twin-cam….must be...yes!!2TG that is!! I completely
ignored all the Chevy and Ford there, ran toward it & kept taking picture
like a crazy dude. “This runs GREAT!” the owner kicked off the engine
smoothly by just one click. He didn’t care how I was surprised by that
“calm” idling, he kept getting the shift up to 1,2,3, tires are ROARING!
All the installed parts are from TOYOTA, even light brackets are made by Toyota parts!! For me, it’s like a TE27 in a Model-T skin! I really would like to see Jim and Jim’s 2TG at JCCS and All Toyotafest.

周りで輝くChevyやFordにも目もくれず、写真を取り捲る俺にオーナーが一言、『走るぜ！』ウマに載せられた車体、キーを回すなり一発でエンジンは掛かり、静かなアイドリングに驚いている俺を気にもせず、回転を上げシフトアップを始める！！！１速、２速、3速とギアを入れてタイヤをブイブイまわすまわす！聞けば全てのパーツはトヨタ関連。有り合わせで造ったライトのステーももちろんトヨタ！！FordモデルTの皮をかぶったTE27って感じ！！！
是非TOYOTAFEST、JCCSでお目にかかりたい１台です。 |
